  2. (medicine) Not topical: not applied to a localized part of the body
This will be a non specific blog.
Actually ... it will be about many things.Just not specific.
Ni siquiera el idioma será específico.Escribire  a ratos en español, a ratos en inglés.
A ratos usaré ambas lenguas, dependiendo de cual término me guste mas para designar algo.
Since I am an artist and even if I dont want to, sometimes I will write about art, visual art that is.
Right now, im thinking about people who hate- and hate- contemporary art.
They could be quite visceral about it.
Which is interesting, because they demonstrate  passion.
Sure enough, we live in a world of public passions :
Soccer fans are passionate about their teams
Celebrity fans are passionate about celebrities
Music fans are passionate about a music band or a musician.
But private passions are something else.
Maybe shared by a few , yes. But fueled by oneself.
Thats what's extraordinary about private passions.
And to be a devoted, passionate person who hates something like contemporary art, is unusual.
I know a woman in Mexico. She is one of these persons.
If it wasnt totally absurd, I would even think she is on someone's payroll.
I could imagine someone actually paying her a salary to devote hours on end to write furiously against art and artists involved in the contemporary art world.
Such is her passion and dedication.
She is obsssesive about it.And in all truth, sometimes she may even have a point.
Thats what I used to think when I first started reading her.Her ideas, although half-cooked, rather simplistic and above all, visceral, sometimes where not that far off.But then one day she sort of made a mistake : she actually published the kind of art she likes. She shot her self in the foot..
She liked very old fashioned things. Mostly, her idea of competent art was anchor on execution.
If it looked well done, and it was realistic-paintings for instance- it was good ,according to her.
Her passion borders on fanatism. She fails to see, even once in a blue moon, the beauty of simply executed yet absolutely meaningful art.
For her and her acolytes- the Hartismo people-time stopped for art somewhere around 1900.
But hardcore fanatism is alive and kicking. Here are some of the artists she loves to hate: Richard Prince,Antoni Muntadas,Cildo Meireles and Barbara Kruger.
Her name? Avelina Lesper.
